We fabricate semiconductor devices and mount them on these kind of chip carriers to study particles/quasi-particles such as electrons, holes, excitons, skyrmions, and nuclear spins. Most of the cases, we cool these devices down to absolute zero (-273 °C) to eliminate unwanted thermal noise.
